Michael Molamphy

From as far back as he can remember Michael has had a passion for photography with a particular interest in both wildlife and sport.  He acquired his first "good" camera in 1987 and an enduring love affair was born. Living very close to the shores of Lough Derg there is rarely a day when at least some time is not spent observing the changing colours, mood and pulsating life that he feels is a privilege to witness and a pleasure to photograph.

Following many years in the classroom teaching engineering and design and communication graphics retirement in 2018 allowed Michael set up Coolbawn Cross Photography selling his prints online while also offering a printing and restoration service. He combines his passion for photography with his love of teaching and regularly delivers classes and workshops.
