Brendan’s early work combined B&W sports photography with commercial videography, he remained a passionate photographer while his career took him around the world as an engineer and project manager. In 2017 Brendan returned to college, completing his undergraduate degree in Photography at Griffith College Dublin in 2020 and his master’s in fine art at the University of Ulster graduating with distinction in 2022.
Brendan combines commercial work with his Art practice from his studio in North Tipperary drawing inspiration from the landscapes and people of the area. Developing themes from his master’s studies Brendan continues to investigate how social and cultural history is reflected in the architecture of towns and villages. More recently Brendan has focused on story-telling through video and has completed a number of short videos.
